Valtec Quality Assurance Program: Uncompromising Valve Reliability

At Valtec, quality is not just an inspection step—it is built into every phase of our manufacturing process. Because we operate both an in-house investment casting foundry and the machining and assembly line, we maintain 100% control over the entire production lifecycle. From raw material verification to the final hydraulic shell test, our complete quality program ensures that every ball valve delivered to your facility meets the highest international standards for safety, durability, and leak-tight performance.

Phase 1: Investment Casting Foundry (Pre-Machining Control)

The foundation of a high-performance valve lies in the integrity of its raw materials. Before any casting enters our machining shop, it must pass a series of strict metallurgical and dimensional inspections.

Advanced Material Analysis & Property Testing

  • Spectrometer Analysis: We utilize advanced spectrometers to analyze the chemical composition of every heat batch, ensuring the steel formula precisely matches international material grades (e.g., ASTM, EN). EN 10204 3.1 Certified
*We ensure complete compliance by keeping an EN 10204 3.1 Material Certificate for every heat batch, which is available upon request for your delivery.
  • Mechanical Property Tests: To guarantee structural integrity under extreme conditions, we conduct comprehensive physical testing, including Tensile Strength, Impact Testing, Low-Temperature Tests and Hardness Tests.
  • Penetrant Test (RTPT): Non-destructive testing (NDT) methods are applied to detect any invisible surface or internal micro-flaws, ensuring porosity-free castings.

Precision Dimensional Measurement

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM): We capture highly accurate 3D geometric data of complex casting profiles to verify that molds and raw castings align perfectly with engineering blueprints.
  • Traditional & Digital Metrology: Utilizing highly calibrated Dial Gauges (for height and depth), Calipers, and Protractors to confirm every critical dimension before the machining phase begins.

Phase 2: Machining & Assembly Line (In-Process & Final Inspection)

Once the castings are approved, they move to our machining and assembly factory. Here, precision CNC machining and expert assembly are continuously monitored to ensure zero defects prior to global delivery.

Critical Component Inspection (Valve Ball & Stem)

The core of any ball valve is its internal sealing mechanism. We apply strict tolerances to our valve balls and stems to guarantee low operating torque and extended seat life.

  • Valve Ball Inspection: We utilize Roundpak geometry measurement systems and surface roughness testers. This guarantees perfect sphericity and an ultra-smooth finish (e.g., Ra <0.25 m="" for="" high="" purity="" series="" eliminating="" friction="" and="" preventing="" premature="" seat="" wear="" li="">
  • Valve Stem Inspection: Optical Image Measuring Instruments and dial height gauges are used to measure the exact dimension, radius, and height of the stems, ensuring a perfect, blow-out-proof fit.

Assembly & In-Process Quality Check (IPQC)

Guided by our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), our IPQC team conducts rigorous stage-by-stage inspections. Operators follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with barcode tracking, ensuring that any deviation is caught and corrected immediately during the assembly process.

Final Hydraulic Pressure & Leak Testing

The ultimate proof of our manufacturing excellence is the pressure test.

  • Standard Testing (EN 12266-1): All Valtec valves undergo rigorous hydraulic shell and seat testing in accordance with EN 12266-1, consistently achieving Leakage Rate A (Bubble-Tight Shutoff).
  • Custom API & ISO Testing: Upon customer request for oil, gas, or specialized applications, we provide fully certified testing according to API 598 or ISO 5208 standards.
